When life gets rough and pulls you down
and youíve had it, you quit, youíre wearing a frown.
Then is the time for you to choose
will you go here and win or there and loose!
Life is about problems and choices, you see.
And we want them all to be easy, you and me.
But the easy things will not make us strong.
And for problems to be removed would be quite wrong.
It is far better to learn how to deal with strife,
than it is to live void of problems in life.
Thereís a tool of the Devil; perhaps his best tool,
one he uses daily, hoping to make you a fool.
Itís called "Plom Disease" and it is catchy as fleas.
The subtle but powerful; Poor-Little-Ole-Me disease.
There are many who will say that medicine is the cure
that there is something lacking in you for sure.
But thereís a secret about this developing trend,
this crippling disease of men and women, my friend;
itís under your power to control ...if you will receive
the Lord in your life ...and then just believe.
Sounds simple I know, and yet surely you say not!
"Surely the problem canít be that simple to stop!"
Yes, it sometimes seems so impossible to do
but to overcome depression has been given you.
There is one thing the happy keep in their favor;
they avoid depression ...and they will not waver.
So try anything you like but the day will come
when you will find that if this battle be won,
the power to win it will come from within;
an alliance with the Lord is where it will begin.
So get up and get moving, donít count your woes
or you shall become your greatest foe.
The answer is: Follow the Lord with all your might
and then gird up your loins as if for a fight.
And be not surprised by the words I bring,
for this is what it takes to succeed at anything.
Yes, keep your mind focused on where you want to be
and let your eyes see nothing they shouldnít see.
Then seek the Lord through Scripture and Prayer
and you will excel ...instead of struggle to do fair.
"Nevertheless, the Lord God showeth us our weakness that we may know
that it is by His grace, and His great condescensions unto the Children of men,
that we have power to do these things." Jacob 4:7
