                        Missionary...

This Church is true you see, there’s no way I could not know.
Why, ...for me to explain that statement would take a week or so.
My testimony began as if a small seed, planted in early spring,
and then through time and trial, became a massive forest king.
I know that God lives and that He governs in the affairs of man.
One need not look very far to see the evidence of His hand.
I’m grateful I’ve been allowed to live in these the latter-days,
and I hope when Christ returns to the earth, I’ll be allowed to stay.

I want to see the second coming of Christ; the Mighty Son of God,
that I may see Him in His glory though unbelievers think I’m odd.
I know we are all of the same heavenly family, that belief is so very strong,
that no one, no matter how hard they try, can convince me that I’m wrong.
My testimony is not built on nonfactual evidence or illogical nonsense.
It’s built on prayer and reasonableness–realizing we’re not here by chance.
I want to help in the missionary effort and one day I will, I swear.
But right now, life’s so hectic that there’s just no time to spare.

One day while dreading how busy I was and how much I had to do,
a silent whisper came to me, that shook me through and through.
"You don’t have to put your shoulder to the wheel and push along," it said.
"The work will go on without you, there’s nothing for you to dread.
Do you actually think for a minute that with all that I can do,
that I could not gather the righteous on earth, without you?
If I stood on high and raised My voice for all the world to hear,
the righteous would hear My voice and answer with a cheer.

Missionary work is merely an opportunity that I have given to you.
It’s a chance to prove that you will do as you once said you’d do.
You promised to warn your brothers and sisters and to call them to repentance.
You promised to spread the gospel and call their hearts to remembrance.
That they may live their lives so they can return unto Me someday.
That’s what you said you’d do, ...before going your earthly way.
So pitch in My child, pitch in before the work is done, before it’s too late
for you to keep your promises and feel the joy when you participate."

"...stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things,
and in all places that ye may be in, even until death,
that ye may be redeemed of God, and be numbered with those
of the first resurrection, that ye may have eternal life." Mosiah 18:9
