Oh this beautiful country that you see
       is quite the blessing for you and me.
It’s brimming with boundless wealth untold.
       It’s called the land of the free and the bold.
We have the greatest industrial might.
       Other countries envy our future bright.
We’re the greatest super power–no doubt.
       And others can’t figure how that came about.

How did we, the youngest country of them all,
       wind up being so prosperous, mighty and tall.
It’s certainly a mystery they can’t explain,
       therefore they often criticize and complain.
So why is this country of ours so great indeed?
       Is it luck or is Someone helping with each need?
"Listen carefully. I’ll tell you where the secret lies.

Of all the nations on earth that the Lord did create,
       this land was chosen for a people He would separate.
Those who feel the yearnings for freedom in their heart.
       Those who were willing to fight and do their part.
For a gift so grand as freedom, that is merely given,
       is seldom appreciated, easily lost and often taken.
But there is more to your freedom that you perceive.
       For the Lord guides and protects those who believe.

This country will only remain prosperous, mighty and grand
       as long as the more part of the people follow the Lord’s hand.
If they turn their hearts from Him, evil and corruption will abide,
       and the protection of the Lord’s hand will no longer be at your side.
So always remember that the secret of this great land
       lies in the hearts of the people and as to where they stand.
If they choose the Lord first, they will stay the free and brave.
       They will never be overrun or become an indentured slave."
