I was given a beautifully restored vehicle to travel the journey of life.
I was given it by One who came to earth to ease my trouble and strife.
He had come to do the will of His Father who lived in heaven above.
The Father–spoken of in the Scriptures, who gave His Son out of Love.
The Son performed everything that the Father in heaven did ask,
everything from teaching to healing to even the Son’s last task.
A task that required His life be taken so that the rest of us be saved,
and now the road to eternal life for all has been so gloriously paved.
Now with the blessing of this beautiful vehicle my family and I can ride,
making the problems and trials of life much easier to take in stride.
I was so grateful to the Son for this restored vehicle which He gave me,
that I felt to share it with others and show them why I was so happy.
One day I took it to my friend for him to look at what I had been given
and tell him of all the places I had not walked but instead had ridden.
I wanted him to have what I enjoyed–this blessing of the Father and Son
and the greatest vehicle given to man–with eternal progression now won.
But when I showed my vehicle to my friend so he could see what I had,
my friend acted cold and distant and what he did and said made me sad.
He wouldn’t get in or go for a ride, he just began asking me questions.
He’d have to know how every part works before making any decisions.
I tried to explain as best I could how the things that I knew about, worked.
But he just kept asking more and more and from my beckon he jerked.
I told him I didn’t know all the answers but I knew it quickened the Son’s
cause.
He said unless I did he wouldn’t budge, sorry but that’s the way it was.
I told him you don’t need to know how every part works to make the vehicle
go,
as long as you knew how to operate the vehicle, that’s all you needed to
know.
And though this vehicle filled our life with blessings, never seeming to
cease,
allowing us to travel life’s journey with so much joy, comfort and peace,
and that I knew it was of God–the evidence becoming more clear as I go,
my friend continued to walk life’s journey, making his progression slow.
Now all I can do is hope he will see it for what it really is someday,
a vehicle from God the Father and His Son, ...this I humbly pray.
"And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting
gospel
to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred,
and
tongue, and people." Revelation 14:6
